Design Matters. Polished design is not just a luxury
How many times have we heard that careful graphic design is just a luxury we can’t afford? But if we look at the experience of the great Italian Made masters, we realize that attention to detail is essential for the success of a product. Personally, I always strive to achieve visually appealing results in a reasonable amount of time, using common sense during the design process and the latest technologies. And most importantly, I share the process with the development team to achieve the best possible outcome.

Designers and code: not just about making it pretty
It’s a common misconception that as designers, we don’t need to know code. While graphic design software has made designing interfaces a breeze, someone still needs to bring our designs to life, often with tight deadlines. Being able to empathize with those who have to turn our impossible dreams into reality is crucial to approaching our profession professionally and peacefully (especially when working alongside our Frontend friends).

It’s all about structure, rules, grids… Is this the 90s again?
While trends come and go, the cognitive processes related to vision, perception, and interaction evolve much more slowly. Using a grid to construct a layout, along with other “old-school” design rules, won’t lead to outdated solutions, but rather to a creative design process aimed at the successful use of the final product. So, don’t dismiss grids as outdated, but instead embrace them as an essential tool for creating functional and visually appealing designs.

The Fitt’s law doesn’t serve to choose the model of jeans.
Not quite! Fitt’s law is actually a usability principle that explains how the size and distance of interactive elements (such as buttons) affect the ease of use of the user interface. In UX design, there are several “mathematical dogmas” that help us create intuitive and effective interfaces, such as Hick’s law, Miller’s law, Pareto’s law, and others. Using these principles can significantly improve the user experience and the usability of the product.
